Raleigh, North Carolina-based Pomelo Coffee Consulting is launching the second iteration of its coffee roaster, education, networking and consulting platform called Pomelo Junto.
The six-month program will involve a cohort of coffee roasting business owners who will engage in group learning, as well as individualized consulting regarding business objectives and staff development. The Junto platform will include group meetings, providing a confidential space to share business challenges and receive candid feedback, according to Pomelo.
For this second edition of Pomelo Junto, the firm is offering three tiers, ranging in price from $750 to $2,400 based on the number of individual consulting sessions.
All tiers include three curated curriculum books, monthly group meetings, at least two one-on-one meetings, goal-setting and retrospective meetings, and access to a Slack channel shared with the other Junto members. The first meetings are scheduled for late January.
The Junto program is available to roasters of different sizes all over the world, although the inaugural cohort primarily featured United States-based business owners, according to Pomelo Coffee Consulting Founder and Principal Luke Waite, who is based in Raleigh.
โWhen roasters apply, part of our process is to determine which roasters would be best suited for which groups and seek to place owners in diverse groups to both give and receive feedback without each group being too broad or too narrow,โ Waite told DCN.
Pomelo is a sibling company to The Lev Co., a coffee-industry-focused branding and design agency also founded by Waite.
